Aunt Bill’s Soul Food Cafe is shining the spotlight on the incredible talent in our community with a special Talent Night on Friday, October 2, 2026, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM.

We’re inviting local singers, musicians, poets, spoken-word artists, comedians, dancers, and other performers to step up, share their gifts, and be part of a fun night centered around great food, local talent, and community.

Whether you’ve been performing for years or you’re finally ready to share the talent your family and friends already know you have, this is your chance to take the stage at Aunt Bill’s.

A Night to Celebrate Local Talent

Aunt Bill’s Soul Food Cafe has always been about more than a meal. It’s a place where people gather, families connect, friends catch up, and the community comes together over made-from-scratch soul food.

Talent Night is an extension of that spirit.

We want to create a welcoming space where local performers can be seen, heard, supported, and celebrated. At the same time, our guests can enjoy dinner, cheer on their neighbors, discover new talent, and experience another side of the Aunt Bill’s community.

You don’t have to perform to be part of the night. Come hungry, bring your family and friends, grab a table, and help us show some love to the people brave enough to step behind the microphone.

We want Talent Night to showcase just how much creativity exists throughout Katy and the surrounding community.

You might sing. You might play guitar. Maybe you write poetry, perform spoken word, dance, tell jokes, or have a talent that doesn’t fit neatly into any category.

If you have something special to share, we want to hear from you.

This isn’t about being a celebrity or having a huge following. It’s about community supporting community and giving local talent another place to shine.

Family-Friendly Performance Guidelines

Aunt Bill’s Talent Night is intended to be a fun, positive, family-friendly event that guests of all ages can enjoy. By registering, performers agree to follow these guidelines:

Performances must be appropriate for a general, family audience.
No profanity, explicit lyrics, sexually explicit or suggestive material, or graphic violent content.
Music, comedy, poetry, spoken word, and other material should use clean versions whenever applicable.
Hateful, threatening, harassing, or discriminatory material will not be permitted.
Performers must stay within their assigned performance time so everyone has an opportunity to participate.
Any special equipment, backing tracks, instruments, or setup requirements should be disclosed during registration.
Open flames, weapons, pyrotechnics, dangerous stunts, or other activities that could create a safety risk are prohibited.
Performers under 18 must have parent or guardian permission and may be required to have a parent or guardian present.
Performers are expected to treat staff, guests, fellow performers, and the venue with respect.
Aunt Bill’s Soul Food Cafe reserves the right to decline or stop any performance that does not meet event or family-friendly guidelines.

Talent Night also kicks off an exciting weekend at Aunt Bill’s.

We’ll start with Talent Night on Friday, October 2, continue the fun with our food truck event on Saturday, October 3, and wrap up the weekend with Sunday Funday on October 4.

Three days of food, entertainment, and community—and plenty of reasons to spend the weekend with the Aunt Bill’s family.

By registering to perform at Aunt Bill’s Soul Food Cafe Talent Night, you acknowledge and agree that your performance will comply with all event guidelines and remain appropriate for a family-friendly audience. Performances may not include profanity, explicit or sexually suggestive content, graphic violence, hateful or discriminatory material, dangerous acts, weapons, pyrotechnics, or any content deemed inappropriate for the event. Performers are responsible for providing accurate information regarding their act, music, equipment, backing tracks, and setup needs at the time of registration. All performers must follow their assigned performance time and the direction of Aunt Bill’s staff and event coordinators. Aunt Bill’s Soul Food Cafe reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to approve, decline, modify, interrupt, or end any performance that does not comply with these guidelines or that may create a safety, operational, or guest-experience concern. Performers under the age of 18 must have permission from a parent or legal guardian and may be required to have a parent or guardian present during the event. By submitting your registration, you confirm that you have read, understand, and agree to follow all Talent Night rules and guidelines.
